Boston College would later produce a equivalent move, joining a ACC within 2005. Within response to it series of moves, which depleted a Heavy East football conference, a Heavy East raided Conference United states. 5 C-United states members, including troika football-swimming schools, left for the Heavy East. 2 more non-football schools left for the Atlantic 10; one further football member joined a Mountain West; and of these more football member opted to get an independent therein sport.
